Kacie Marie was a rescue who was supposed to be a Yorkie Poo, but everywhere I went people thought she had Westie roots as well and I think the same.
Kacie was the love of my life. She came to me when I was grieving the lost love of a dear friend. Kacie not only filled that love drought but surpassed it with her sweet, gentle persona. She was pure magic.
In the end, I just couldn't make her life a quality one as she was blind, deaf and had dementia.
How could I ever say goodbye?
As Granny said in the book by Fredrik Backman, "My Grandmother Says She is Sorry and Sends Her Regrets,"
"You never say goodbye in the Land-of-Almost-Awake.You just say, 'See you later.' It's important to the people in the Land-of-Almost-Awake that it should be this way, because they believe that nothing really ever completely dies. It just turns into a story, undergoes a little shift in grammar, changes tense from 'now', to 'then'."
So what will be your story Kacie? You were brought to me because of a lost love and now you will be my lost love. What at a great story we had.
See you later little Kacie.
