“A spoiled rotten Westie lives here”7

Success Stories

Westies in Need (WiN) works very hard to match our wonderful dogs with equally wonderful new families. Here are some of our success stories!

Lilly's Story

One of our little rescues was named Lilly - she was the worst case of skin problems we had ever seen when she arrived into our rescue program. The Pet Network saw her info on our website and asked if they could do a story on our Lilly and our rescue. Click here to watch the video of Lilly and her journey...they did a great job and we can't thank the Pet Network enough for supporting us!  Lilly says THANKS too!

Brody
Brody

Brody was (we believe) the "Baby Daddy" for all the girls above...however that is all behind him now as he was neutered yesterday! This handsome boy is relaxing after his visit to the Vet and then will be ready to join a family! Brody is being fostered in the Whitby area.

An update...Brody has been adopted! This handsome boy is now in his forever home and is having the time of his life!

Journey
Journey

Journey is 5 years old and has come to us from Ohio, with her sister Whisper (below). These 2 darling girls are very sweet and after a bit of R and R will be ready for adoption.  Journey is being fostered in the Ottawa area and is loving her new foster home.

An update...Journey has been adopted! Could not have happened to a nicer girl!

Whisper
Whisper

Whisper is also about 5 years old and is such a darling girl, just like her sister (Journey) that you see above. Whisper has such a kind face and as you can see from the picture, has fit into her foster home and loves to snuggle!

An update...Whisper has been adopted. She has found a wonderful new home with Joan in Ottawa and even got a new Westie brother named Duffy.

Lua
Lua

Lua is 7 years old and is an owner surrender. She has been diagnosed with Addison's disease. Addison’s disease is a disorder that occurs when the adrenal glands fail to produce enough hormones for normal function. It can be very easy to control and dogs can live a long and full life! This sweet girl is in foster care in the Ottawa area.

An update...Lua has been adopted! She has a wonderful new home and loves her new nick-name "Snuggle-Bug"

Old Blue Eyes...

OK...this one is not really a WiN Westie

... but when we found this old picture of Frank Sinatra with a sweet little Westie, we just knew we had to put it on our website, somewhere!!!

Can you blame us???
