Success Stories
Westies in Need (WiN) works very hard to match our wonderful dogs with equally wonderful new families. Here are some of our success stories!
Lilly's Story
One of our little rescues was named Lilly - she was the worst case of skin problems we had ever seen when she arrived into our rescue program. The Pet Network saw her info on our website and asked if they could do a story on our Lilly and our rescue. Click here to watch the video of Lilly and her journey...they did a great job and we can't thank the Pet Network enough for supporting us! Lilly says THANKS too!

Mina is a little Westie mix that has come to us from a puppy mill. She is so sweet and funny.
Mina needs a home with another dog to play with, a fenced yard and a family who is home all, if not most of the day (not out 8 hours working) and also a home with terrier experience-she sure is sweet but she is a handful....she is only 17 months old and has had no rules in her life, so she sure can be naughty when she wants to be!!!!
Welcome Mina!

Tommy is 9 years old, but acts like a 5 year old!!!! He loves his walks and rides in the car so well!
Welcome Tommy to Westies in Need!
An update...Tommy has been adopted. He sure is one very happy boy with his new family!
Welcome Mac to Westies in Need. As you can see he is ADORABLE and is 11 years old (however his foster Mom says he is "more like 11 going on 6" as he has TONS of energy)
He is being fostered in the Toronto area and when we get to know him a bit better we will begin to go through our current applications to find him just the best home. Mac walks well on his leash, loves other dogs and is very loving!

A big WELCOME to 7yr old Cody who was turned over to our rescue by the Ottawa Humane Society. Cody was taken to OHS when his folks could no longer afford his vet care and as you can clearly see ... he NEEDS our help!!!!

An update...Kiahna has been adopted. She met Guna and her family and knew it was a perfect fit!
Sweet Lily has come to us from a puppy mill. She is only about 4 or 5 years old and is such a lovely girl. She gets along with other dogs and ALL people and is having such a good time in her foster home.
She came to us with her fur shaved down, we are not sure why, as he coat is perfect!!! But no worries, Westie fur grows quickly and she will be in her full Westie cut shortly!
Welcome Lily!
An update...Lily has been adopted. She will be the forever girl of Sameera and her family!!!!
Jack, and his brother Casper, were taken from a mill in Ohio and are now now free! The boys are only 16 weeks old and they are such a cute pair and we could not be happier that they are now safe in our care!

Old Blue Eyes...
OK...this one is not really a WiN Westie
... but when we found this old picture of Frank Sinatra with a sweet little Westie, we just knew we had to put it on our website, somewhere!!!
Can you blame us???
